Can I set up alerts for a vehicle I am interested in?
Yes, setting up an alert is possible. Click on the “Save Search” button on the search results pages to set up an alert. Once subscribed, you will be sent an email notifying you of any potential matches depending on your set criteria. You can at any stage unsubscribe from an alert by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the alert email. You can also manage all of your alerts by signing into your AutoTrader account and clicking ”Saved Searches” in the menu.

What is a Featured Listing?
Featured listings showcase vehicles based on your search criteria and that are closest to your location. This feature enables you to identify vehicles quickly that best suit your requirements.
What is a Premium Listing?
Premium listings are listings published by verified premium dealers on the AutoTrader platform and have more images and vehicle information than Standard Listings.
What is a Standard Listing?
Standard Listings appear below Premium Listings in the search results and are therefore positioned a little lower down in the search results.
What is ‘Favourites’ on AutoTrader?
Favourites is a way of saving those listings you have found and you want to refer back to in the future.
You will need to register an account to utilise this feature. It is free!
You can add your favourite listings to your Favourites by simply clicking the “heart” icon on a listing.

How do I make changes to an existing listing?
- Visit www.autotrader.co.za
- Sign in with your email address and password.
- In the menu, click on “Manage Listings”.
- Follow the simple steps to make changes to your existing listing.
- Any changes to a listing will first need to be moderated by our support team before being published.
- Alternatively, you may email Customer Service on Customer Service and one of our friendly agents will be more than happy to assist you in making changes to your listing.
