If you’re a registered security officer, business owner, or training centre affiliated with South Africa’s private security industry, accessing your PSiRA profile online is now simpler and more secure thanks to the OTP (One-Time Password) system.

PSiRA : the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority has introduced the OTP login process to streamline how users manage their credentials, renew certificates, or submit documentation.

Step-by-Step: PSiRA Login with OTP

To log in using the OTP method, follow these simple steps:

  1. Go to the PSiRA OTP login page: https://digitalservices.psira.co.za/login-otp
  2. Enter your registered mobile number (e.g., +27 XXX XXX XXX)
  3. Click the Send OTP button
  4. Check your SMS inbox for the OTP
  5. Enter the OTP and click Submit to access your profile

This secure method eliminates the need to remember your password : simply use your mobile phone to confirm your identity each time.

How to Access Your PSiRA Profile (With or Without OTP)

There are two main ways to access your profile:

  • Using OTP: Ideal if you can’t remember your password
  • Using Password Login: If you already have your username and password, you can log in directly via the traditional login page

If you haven’t claimed your PSiRA profile yet, you’ll need to go through the “Claim Profile” process on the website. This involves entering your ID number and mobile number to receive an OTP. After verification, your username and password will be sent via SMS.

Forgot Your Password?

If you’ve lost or forgotten your login credentials:

  1. Visit the Forgot Password page
  2. Enter your ID number and mobile number
  3. A new username and password will be sent to you via SMS

Important Update for Businesses & Training Centres

Businesses and accredited training centres must now make direct bookings with PSiRA’s regional offices for specific services. Contact details are available on the official website under the “Contacts” section.

Why Is the Online System Important?

The online system is now central to how PSiRA communicates with the industry. All updates, renewals, and official interactions will take place through your online profile. Failing to register or maintain your profile could result in delays or missed updates.

Documents You May Need to Upload

When accessing or updating your online profile, you may be asked to upload:

  • Identity documents
  • Training certificates
  • Proof of employment or registration
  • Fingerprints (currently in ink but moving to digital soon)

FAQs
