Your UIF PIN is the 10-digit reference number assigned to you (or your company) when you first register with UIF. You need it to log in to uFiling, file claims, and check balances. Lost it? Grab it back in under 2 minutes.
- Where to look first
- uFiling SMS or e-mail – sent when you registered; search “UIF” in your inbox.
- IRP5/IT3(a) – appears next to code 4141 if your employer declared you.
- Payslip – some payroll systems print it as “UIF Ref/PIN”.
- Mobile retrieval (zero data)
A. USSD
Dial 134*843# → choose 1 “Forgot PIN” → enter ID number → PIN is SMSed instantly.
B. WhatsApp
Save 060 012 3456 → send “Hi” → follow prompts → reply “PIN” → receive your 10-digit code.
C. uFiling app
Open app → tap “Forgot PIN” → scan ID barcode or enter ID → PIN displayed on screen.
