Academic Entry Requirements
To qualify for the 2025 intake, all applicants must meet the following academic requirements:
- Minimum Grade 11 Pass: Applicants should have passed Mathematics, Science, and English.
- Additional Qualifications: Any additional qualifications, such as N1, N2, or N3 certificates, will be considered.
NSFAF Loan Assistance Requirements
The Namibia Students Financial Assistance Fund (NSFAF) provides loan assistance to selected first-year students. To be eligible, candidates must meet the following conditions:
- Parental Income: The combined annual income of the applicant’s parents must not exceed N$500,000.00.
- Namibian Citizenship: The applicant must be a Namibian citizen and unemployed.
- No Prior NSFAF Loan: The applicant should not have received an NSFAF loan before.
- Documentation: Certified copies of the following documents must be attached to the application:
- National Grade 12/NSSCO results certificate
- Any other qualifications (e.g., N1, N2, N3)
- ID card or passport of the applicant and both parents
- Full birth certificate
- Driver’s license (if available)
- Medical certificate
- Latest payslips of both parents or a pension card or death certificate
- Unemployment declaration of the applicant
Registration Details and Fees

For Government Loan-Assisted Trainees:
- Non-refundable registration fee: N$3,500.00
- Accommodation/Transport fee: N$6,600.00 per semester (if residing in NIMT’s facilities or using NIMT transport)
Note: If you have previously obtained financial assistance from NSFAF, NIMT requires an acknowledgment letter from NSFAF confirming that your training will be funded.
For Private Sector-Sponsored Trainees:
- Training fees: N$30,000.00
- Accommodation/Transport fee: N$6,600.00 per semester (if applicable)
Important Dates for NIMT 2025 March Intake
- Level 1 & Special Trainees: Classes commence on 14 March 2025.
- Level 2 Trainees on All Campuses: Start date is 1 March 2025.
- Level 3 Trainees at NNC: Classes begin on 1 March 2025.
- Level 3 Trainees at NET, NBCT & NSC Campuses: Start date is 22 March 2025.
- Closing Date for Applications: 25 February 2025, at 12 noon.
